WORCESTER - Rita O. (Case) Beaudoin Lewis, 97, of Worcester, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Worcester Health Center, 25 Oriol Drive, Worcester.
Her husband, Ralph Lewis, died in 2007. Her former husband, Homer C. Beaudoin, died in 1989. She leaves a son, Roger Beaudoin and his wife Sandra of Dudley and a daughter, JoAnne Muzzey of Worcester, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Rita also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sons, Raymond Beaudoin and Ronald Beaudoin, and two daughters, Janet Goldschmidt and Jean May. She was also predeceased by a brother, Wilfrid O. Case, and three sisters, Clara Adams, Cora Prevost, and Exilda Demers. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alfred and Philomene (Vaillancourt) Case and lived in Worcester most of her life.
Rita graduated from Commerce High, she was a stenographer for the Mass Regional Welfare Department. She enjoyed playing the trumpet and collecting dolls. She was well loved at Worcester Health Center and was affectionately known as “Auntie” by the staff.
The funeral will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, with a Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Providence at St Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, April 9, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
