A man of all seasons - he was
a brute of a bloke - to see
a voice as soft as a whisper
when'ere he was speakin to me.
With no way of tellin or knowin
when he might show, when yore stuck
give ya somptin - right close and handy
it t'would be your damn good luck.
We all a going to miss em
he''ll be coming round no more
but we're much better off , God Bless em
than we ever were before.
So, make up your own committment
as it'd been given each day to you
let's hear it for ol' Red finally
and give it entirely - Do.
Olde Scottish rhyme
