MILLBURY – Yvonne C. (Desrosiers) Mitchell, 91, of Millbury, died Thursday, January 22, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband 65 years, Francis L. Mitchell, died in 2023.  She leaves two sons, Paul F. Mitchell of Millbury and David J. Mitchell and his wife Susan of Arizona, a brother, Joseph Desrosiers and his wife Barbara of Stonehaven, New Brunswick, Canada, her granddaughter Amanda Leger of Arizona, nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.   She was predeceased by two sisters, Gilberte Chenette of South Grafton and Jeanne Messier of Worcester; and six brothers: Gerard Desrosiers of South Grafton, Georges Desrosiers of Sutton, Paul Desrosiers of Millbury, Denis Desrosiers of South Grafton, Bernard Desrosiers of Dudley, and Roland Desrosiers of Bonita, CA.  She was born in South Grafton, daughter of Leopold M. and Laura (DeGrandpre) Desrosiers.

Yvonne was a cafeteria director at Millbury High School for 23 years.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.  She enjoyed Polka dancing and was also an avid baker.  She loved making pies, cakes and cookies for everyone

A calling hour will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Thursday January 29, 2026 in Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.  Burial will follow in St. Philip’s Cemetery, Grafton.
