CLINTON – Yoni O. De Leon, 53, of Clinton, died Thursday, January 4, 2024 at UMass Memorial – University Campus after a long illness.


He leaves a son, Noel J. De Leon of New York, his father, Felix De Leon of Clinton; two brothers, Quelvin De Leon and his wife Celeste of Clinton, and Felix De Leon of Leominster; two sisters, Margarita Castro and Clara Castro, both of New York; his girlfriend, Francine Caindoc of the Philippines, his best childhood and forever friend, Joan Mora of Connecticut; the mother of his son, Ingrid Tavarez of New York; several nieces and nephews. Other relatives. He was predeceased after his sister, Fory Castro He was born in Yamasa, Dominican Republic, son of Felix De Leon and the late Leopoldina Rosario. He graduated from Atlantic Union College, So. Lancaster, MA.


Yoni was a counselor for adults with special needs at Acacia Network in New York City. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his son.


Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
