Yan Chang Xie Obituary

WORCESTER – Yan Chang Xie, 80, of Worcester, died Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Rose Monahan Hospice, 10 Judith Drive, Worcester. 


He leaves his wife, Huanlian Liu, two sons, Jibo Xie and his wife Lanfen Deng of Worcester and Jason Xie and his wife Mandy Huang of Quincy, two daughters, Laurel Xie and her husband Tai Cheng of Shrewsbury and Christine Xie and her husband Timothy Wong of Brookline; his brother, Yanqing Xie of China; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Yanhang Xie. He was born in Longmen of GuanDong, China, son of Zhuo Lian Xie and Jiao Li.  He has lived here since 2000.


Yan was a cook at restaurants in China.  He enjoyed cooking and travel.


Visiting hours will be Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.Followed immediately by a luncheon at Phoever Restaurant 433 Park Ave. Worcester.
