Vernon C. Goddard

WORCESTER – Vernon C. Goddard Sr, 81, of Worcester, formerly of Spencer, died Monday January 11, 2021 at St Francis Home.

His wife, Ethel M. (Auterback) Goddard, died in 2000. He leaves six daughters, Vickie Goddard of Worcester, Judith Brogan of Tiverton, RI, Millie Goddard of Webster, Jody Brooks of Falmouth, Muriel Goddard of West Brookfield, and Cynthia Valley of North Brookfield; two sons, Vernon Goddard Jr. of Spencer, and William Goddard of Worcester; 13 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Philip H. and Muriel V. (Wetherbee) Goddard.

Vernon was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was a machinist at Wickwire in Brookfield. He thoroughly enjoyed camping.

A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street Winchendon.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Rd Suite #200, Framingham, MA 01701 (https://www.diabetes.org/donate).
