CHARLTON - Stephen Francis Garr, 69, of Charlton, died peacefully Sunday, October 4, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Steve is survived by his daughters Stephanie Talbert and her husband Bret of Charlton, MA, Patricia Blanchette and her husband Keith of Charlton, MA, Nicole Lopez and her companion Gian Carlos of Worcester, MA, Stephanie Plant of Harrisburg, PA and Brooke Boudreau of Webster, MA; grandchildren, Philip, Summer, Jaxon, Shelby, Kobe, Kasey, Jeremiah, Taylor, Foster, Brady, Paige, Jacob, Dylan, Dannyelle, and Sebastian; brother David C. Garr of PA. He also leaves great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
Stephen was predeceased by his brothers Richard Garr and Thomas Garr; sisters Phyllis Wilkerson and Mary Banks. Stephen was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late David Craig Garr Sr and Marguerite Winona (Slocum) Garr.
Stephen retired from Nynex in 1997 after working for 25 years. He then went on to work for Worcester Airport Limousine and was a school bus driver. He enjoyed writing music, playing the guitar and singing. He was also a ham radio enthusiast, and liked watching NASCAR and NFL. Steve truly loved being surrounded by family, listening to music and manning the grill.
Stephen’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 11:00 AM at his residence, 38A Northside Road in Charlton, MA. This will be an outdoor gathering and social distancing will be part of the protocol.
