Spyridon Gasialis, 89 of Fall River, MA passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 in Alexandria, VA after a brief illness.
Spyridon was born on April 12, 1931 in Agios Nicholaos, Thesprotia, Epirus Greece to Christos and Antonia Gasialis. He was predeceased by seven siblings.
He was married to Angeliki (Gatzoyiannis) for 68 years. He came to the United States with his family in 1968 in pursuit of the classic American dream. He worked at Table Talk Pies in Worcester, MA and at Automatic Rolls in Auburn, MA for many years. He owned several small businesses. He also was a member of Bakery and Confectionary Union Local #050. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is survived by his three daughters: Efigenia, Antonia, and Aleka, and their spouses. He had eight grandchildren and three beautiful great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was a lifelong member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, MA.
A private funeral and burial will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations are made in his name to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA and St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 289 N Main Street, Fall River, MA. Local arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
