Shpresa (Haliti) Kroi

WORCESTER – Shpresa Kroi, 75, of Worcester, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at UMass Memorial – Lake Ave, surrounded by her family.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Ferat Kroi; two sons, Ermal Kroi and his wife Arta of Worcester and Albano Kroi and his wife Rezarta of Vancouver, Canada; three grandchildren, Mirgen and Angela Kroi of Worcester and Erin Kroi of Vancouver; many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by a brother, Genc Haliti and a sister, Liri Musa.  She was born in Tirana, Albania, daughter of Haki and Myzejen (Pozhegu) Haliti and has lived here for the past 12 years. 

Shpresa was an accountant for a state-owned manufacturing company in Albania.  She enjoyed traveling, visiting Canada and going back home to Albania. She enjoyed cooking and hosting during the holidays as well as watching Albanian shows with family. Time spent with her grandkids was her favorite.  She was a nurturing Wife, Mom and Nena (grandmother). Shpresa was a lovely person, friendly to everyone, and always had a compliment to say for anyone. She always praised God in her words and in her prayers.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 19 at Hope Cemetery, Worcester, with a procession leaving at 11:00 am from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
