HOLDEN - Shirley M. (Adams) Ouellette, 62, of 703 Salisbury St. died Wednesday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, Worcester.
She leaves her husband, Gerard A. Ouellette; her mother, Clara H. (Case) Adams of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Doris M. Bastille of Worcester and Phyllis J. King of Shrewsbury; three aunts; nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of N. Leo Adams, and later lived in Shrewsbury. She lived many years in Holden.
Mrs. Ouellette graduated from Maj. Howard Beal High School in Shrewsbury and Becker Junior College in Worcester.
Mrs. Ouellette worked for 28 years at the Telegram & Gazette, retiring in 1985. She was secretary to Gordon O'Brien, former treasurer and vice president, also to Leland Adams, former general manager, and later to Richard C. Steele, retired chairman of the board. She was previously a secretary at the M.J. Whittall Associates, and IBM Corp. in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Ouellette was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson, and a former member of the Worcester Chapter, National Secretaries Association.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
