Samuel Hoffman, Jr Obituary

WORCESTER – Samuel “Bimbo” Hoffman, Jr, 67, of Worcester, died Monday, April 27, 2020 at UMass Medical Center – University Campus.

He leaves his wife Lisa (Derusha) Hoffman of Greenfield, two daughters, Marie (Hoffman) Tinsley and her husband Jay Tinsley of Southbridge, and Carrie (Hoffman) Morse of Rhode Island.  He also leaves three siblings: brother Truffly Hoffman of Dudley, sister Elizabert (Hoffman) Davis of North Carolina, and sister Jeanne (Hebert) Germain of Webster.  He also leaves four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Carol (Hebert) Mauke of Webster in 2006, a brother Joseph Hebert of Dudley in 1998, and his parents, Samuel Hoffman, Sr in 1980 and Mary (Beaudette) Hoffman in 2004.  He was born in Webster, MA and lived there most of his life before moving to Worcester in 2001.

Mr. Hoffman worked for Jr’s Asphalt & Paving for 16 years.  He retired in the 90’s.  In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and spending time with his family. 

A private service will be held for the family and a public service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
