Ruben Ramos

WORCESTER – Ruben D. Ramos, 47, of Worcester died Monday, November 6, 2023 at UMass Memorial – University Campus, after an illness. 

He leaves a son, Ruben Ramos Jr of Worcester, his mother, Minarcin Vega of Worcester, a brother, Raul Ramos of Worcester, his sister, Zendy Ramos and his sister-in-law Shakennia Swain of New York, his brother Danny Ramos from NYC, sister Yahaira Ramos from NYC; a sister-in-law Yamelet Mojica of Worcester; and additional siblings in Dominican Republic; his niece and nephew Zharia Lugo and Jaden Lugo of New York; his life partner, Tiffany Gillette of Worcester; a grandchild Selene Ezra Ramos of Worcester; and his maternal aunts, uncles and cousins in the Dominican Republic and New York that he holds close to his heart.  Ruben also leaves his best friend, Ferdinand “Chamo” Rodriguez. 

He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Ramos.  He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, son of Daniel Ramos and Minarcin Vega.

Ruben was a personal care attendant for Tempus Unlimited.  He was a kind soul. He gave his all to his family and anyone that he considered a friend. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, playing music, making beats, late night conversations with his mother and brother, and early morning conversations with his sister.  He dedicated his life to caring for his partner.  He loved visiting with his granddaughter and his son.  He loved cooking, hosting gatherings at his house and being the life of the party. He spoke life unto his loved ones until the very end.  He was happy when he made others laugh.  A wholesome and caring man that will live in our hearts and mind forever. 

One of Ruben’s last words were “you only die when you’re forgotten”, so he will always live.

Calling hours will be from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Avenue, Worcester.  Burial will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, 9 Island Rd, Worcester.
