Rose M. (Kachajian) Mastromatteo

WORCESTER - Rose M. (Kachajian) Mastromatteo , 81, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband of 59 years, Nicholas M. Mastromatteo, died in 2012.  She is survived by three sons, Nicholas G. Mastromatteo of Ware, Joseph F. Mastromatteo and his wife Laura of Worcester and Anthony J. Mastromatteo and his wife Jennifer of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Angela Lamoureux and her husband Robert of Worcester, with whom she lived, and Teresa Porter and her husband Alan of Florida; a brother, George Kachajian and his wife Dolores of Worcester; eleven grandchildren: Cheryl, Shannon, Robert and his wife Jessica, Jaclyn and her husband Brendan, Mary Anne, Michael and his wife Katelyn, Nicole, Gianna, Anthony, Dominic and Joshua; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter, Mary Anne Mastromatteo.

Rose was born in Worcester, daughter of Sarkis and Josephine A. (Sieckowski) Kachajian and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School.  She worked as a nursery school teacher in Worcester for many years.  She was a member of Christ the King Church.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, with an 11:00 am Mass at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St, Worcester.  Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 7 from 9:00 –10:15 am at the funeral home.
