Ronald Irving Woodside Obituary

WORCESTER – Ronald Irving Woodside, 73, of Wiscasset, Maine, died Sunday, February 4, 2024 at UMass Memorial – University Campus after an illness.

He leaves three daughters, Ginger Gladstone and Brenda Woodside of Worcester, and Laura Love of Wiscasset, ME; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Harmony; uncles, aunts and cousins.  He was born in Boston, son of Irving E. and Gloria F. (Taglilatelo) Woodside.  He moved to Maine and enjoyed the peaceful setting it provided.

Ronald was known for loving fast cars and motorcycles, watching auto racing of all types and making people laugh with his stories and antics.  Everyone who knew him would describe him as fun and maybe a little bit crazy.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Newport News as a fireman E3 in during the Vietnam War.  He had an endless appetite for pizza, perfected biscotti recipes, and truly loved spending time with his family.
