WORCESTER – Ronald P. Pitard, 74, of Worcester, formerly of Clinton and Berlin, MA, died Monday, April 13, 2026 at home.


He leaves a daughter, Amber Pitard of Fitchburg, a son Jerodd Pitard of Townsend; his mother, Vivian Belcher of Marlborough; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; his friend Carey Ward USNR, of Hudson.  He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen LeBlanc-Pitard, his father, Leonard W. Pitard, a twin brother, Robert G. Pitard, his brother Kenneth L. Pitard, and a sister, Susan M. Auger.   Another brother, James (“Jimmie” or “Jimbo”) died very young.  Ronald was born in Marlborough, son of Kenneth L. Pitard and Vivian A. (Gould) Belcher.


Ronald was a machine repair mechanic for W.R. Grace in Acton.  He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.  During his later years in the Air Force, he traveled to Turkey, Spain, Germany and other countries.  He enjoyed hanging out with his fellow veteran friends, talking about their service days.  He enjoyed going for coffee and on walks with his friend Carey, talking about life and his mom. Ronald was a sweet, caring person.


A funeral service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon at a date to be announced. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
