WORCESTER - Roger J. Lamarche, 82, formerly of 49 Pleasant Valley Drive, longtime owner of a beauty-supply business, died Thursday in Salisbury Nursing Center after an illness.


He leaves his wife of 63 years, Lucille B. (Paradis) Lamarche; two sons, Robert R. Lamarche of Worcester and Charles M. Lamarche of Williamsburg, Va.; a daughter, Susanne C. Williams of  Cotuit; a sister, Jeanne Lamarche of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Rene Lamarche of Worcester, died in 1973. He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, son of Evariste and Euphemie (Daigneault) Lamarche, and lived here 76 years. He graduated from Holy Family High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, including Guam. 


Mr. Lamarche owned and operated Northeast Beauty Distributors for 26 years, retiring in 1985. He was previously a salesman for 20 years for R.G. Shakour Co., a local beauty-supply business. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church.


A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 West 168th St., New York City, NY 10032. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., is directing arrangements.
