WORCESTER - Robert E. Fitzsimmons, Jr, 80, of Worcester, died Friday, July 18, 2025 at Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Drive.

He leaves a cousin, Louise Welch of Gloucester and his friend Tom Dodge of Boylston.  He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Marie Fitzsimmons, in 1947.  He was born in Worcester, son of Robert E. Fitzsimmons Sr. and Pearl M. (LaPrade) Fitzsimmons.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran.  He worked as a bookkeeper at Worcester State University and later at Iandoli’s Bakery and as a security guard at Worcester Art Museum.  He enjoyed flea markets and watching sports.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 at 9:30 am at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, section St. Joseph.  There are no calling hours.  Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
