Richard G. Malmgren

WORCESTER – Richard G. Malmgren, 67, of Worcester, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at UMass Memorial – University Campus after a long illness.

He leaves behind Cynthia Orciuch, his partner and love of his life; his sisters Mary Johnson and Andrea White of Arizona; his brothers Robert Malmgren of Massachusetts and Daniel Malmgren of Arizona, nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Blazie.  Richard was born in Worcester, September 5,1955 to Thomas and Beverly Malmgren of Sutton Massachusetts and graduated from Holy Name High School in Worcester..

Richard worked in the photography field for most of his life with his last position being a professional photographer for 20 years. He retired early in order to spend more time with his beloved Cindy.  He was also an avid reader and enjoyed listening to folk and blues music.  Rick had a kind heart and gentle spirit and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering to be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
