WORCESTER – Remzi Kerci, 79, of Worcester, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Bukuroshe Haxhiymeri, a son, Alban Kerci of Italy, two daughters, Arlinda and her husband Bledar Bratja of North Grafton and Aida and her husband Artan Grada of Peabody; two brothers, Qemal Kerci and Petrit Kerci, both of Albania; three grandchildren, Darleene and Mason Bratja and Vienna Grada; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. He was born in Elbasan, Albania, son of Musa and Mereme (Kasa) Kerci and has lived here for the past 10 years.
Remzi was a city administrator at a city hall in Albania for 37 years. He was a hard worker and enjoyed reading. He was a dedicated father and loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Remzi had a big heart and was very respectful. He will be missed and remembered with love.
A graveside service will be held at St. Philip’s Cemetery in Grafton on Friday, January 3, 2020, with a procession leaving at 11:00 am from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 2 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
