WORCESTER – Queenie O. (Patterson) Giles, 80, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at UMass Memorial – Memorial Campus.
Her husband, Otis Giles, Sr, died in 1974. She leaves two sons, Greg Giles of Ware and James Giles of Worcester; three daughters, Shelia Boykin, Emma Nelson, and Tracy Edmonds, all of Worcester; a brother, Cullen Patterson; two sisters, Lucille and Francine; her cousin Lois Edmonds; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sons, Joshua, Mossy, and Otis Giles Jr, four brothers, Willy, Shirley, Lester, and Nate, and three sisters, Virginia, Etta, and Agnes. She was born in Dillwyn, Virginia, daughter of Ivy and Mary (Spaulding) Patterson.
Queenie gave to others, she loved children and took care of everyone’s kids. She loved to cook, was generous and gave her heart and love to all. She will surely be missed.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
