WORCESTER – Petrit Kerxhalli, 82, of Worcester, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Tefta (Mile) Kerxhalli, a son, Todi and his wife Miranda Kerxhalli, a daughter Anita Kerxhalli; and four grandchildren, Etjona Kerxhalli, Petri Kerxhalli, Anisa Oparaku Sbat, and Geni Oparaku, all of Worcester. Petrit was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. He was born in Pogradec, Albania, son of Mitri and Eftali (Lamo) Kerxhalli.
Petrit was a devoted husband who deeply loved his wife. He loved showing her off and charming her with his romantic ways. Back home, in Albania, he was known as a skilled carpenter who designed and built his very own home and took on difficult projects. He loved taking long walks, listening and singing to music, and, above all, spending time with his family. He was a man of deep faith and everyone who met him was always positively and deeply touched. He will be enormously missed by his family, friends, and all who know him. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement. May God bless and keep you!
The funeral will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Calling hours are Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
