WORCESTER – Patricia J. Thanas, 78, of Worcester, died Monday, October 6, 2025 at Holy Trinity Nursing Home, Barber Ave, Worcester.

She leaves three brothers, Arthur P. Thanas of Nevada, Anthony Thanas and his wife Valerie of Mashpee, and Philip Thanas and his wife Kesarin Toi of Portsmouth, NH; her nephew Samuel, niece Kesarin Ploy and niece Cheyenne.  She also leaves her dear friends Chris, Dawn, Sammy, and her beloved service dog Angel.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of Samuel and Olga (Vangel) Thanas. 

Patricia graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and was a dietary aide at UMass Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of St Mary’s Albanian Orthodox Church in Worcester and a member of the AANO (Albanian American National Organization).    She loved traveling, country music and gospel music.  She loved animals and enjoyed crocheting, needlepointing and knitting.  She baked traditional, Greek and Albanian delicacies, pies and desserts.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury St Worcester, MA 01609. Funeral services will be private and in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
