AUBURN – Nilgun Z. (Tuncer) Gunday, 70, of Auburn, died Sunday, August 4, 2024 at home, following a four-year battle with cancer.

She leaves a sister, Aysegul Tuncer of Worcester and her former husband, Izzet Gunday of Auburn.  She was born in Istanbul, Turkey, daughter of Ali Fahreddin Tuncer and Horsofuhı Kuyumcu.  She graduated from Bahriye kızlisesi Kadıköy/Ä°stanbul.

Nilgun was a good friend to many old acquaintances.  She loved deep sea fishing off Cape Cod and surfcasting with her sister.  She had been a caretaker for her mother and father.  

Calling hours will be held at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester on Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 9-11 am. A graveside service will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.
