WORCESTER - Nancy McCaffrey, 92, formerly of Leicester, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025 after a long illness.

Born in Worcester, she was the youngest child of Charles and Mary (Leahy) McDonald. Nancy grew up in Worcester and attended Worcester schools. She worked for many years at the former Home Federal Savings Bank.  She also taught yoga in the Worcester Night Life program as well as at the YWCA.

Always a fitness fan, she took up running later in life, participating in and winning several 5K races. She enjoyed travel and was always ready for a new adventure.  She was a champion shopper. She loved movies, ice cream and a cup of Irish tea. She was a long-time resident of Leicester where she lived with her late husband Francis McCaffrey.

Nancy leaves a son, John McCaffrey and his wife Tina of Leicester, as well as her daughter, Ellen Whiting and her partner Michael Robichaud of Sturbridge.  A daughter, Frances Dalton of Spencer, predeceased her.  She also leaves her four grandsons and four great-grandchildren, and her best friend Frances Kuchinsky of Grafton.

The family would like to thank Jewish Healthcare Hospice and the wonderful staff at Christopher House Worcester for their care and compassion.
