SHREWSBURY - N. Leo Adams, 85, of 6 Fairfax St. died yesterday in Worcester Hahnemann Hospital.
Mr. Adams was a machinist at Norton Co. in Worcester 28 years. retiring in 1967.
He was a former auxiliary police officer in Shrewsbury.
He leaves his wife, Clara H. (Case) Adams; three daughters, Doris M., wife of John G. Bastille of Worcester, Shirley M.. wife of Gerard A. Ouellette of Holden. and Phyllis J., wife of Thomas F. King of Shrewsbury; a sister, Margaret Rocheford of Worcester; six grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams observed their 63rd wedding anniversary Sept. 1. Born in Worcester, he was a son of Napoleon and Margaret (Gilchrist) Adams. and lived in Shrewsbury 57 years.
A World War I Army veteran, he served with the Third Cavalry.
He was a member of Greendale Retired Men's Club, Shrewsbury Senior Citizens, Shrewsbury Golden Age Club, and a former member of Shrewsbury Grange 101, and Holy Name Society of St. Anne's parish.
The funeral will be Saturday from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
