My T. Truong

WORCESTER – My T. Truong, 81, of Worcester, died Friday, October 10, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband of 61 years, Khoan L. Tran, died in March, 2021.  She leaves a son, Kieu Tran and his wife Lyly Trac of Leicester, three daughters, Tho and her husband Michael Doherty of Millbury, Huong Tran and her husband Trung Nguyen of Worcester, and Mai Kim Ngoc of Lansing,  MI; a brother-in-law, Kui Chan of Worcester, six grandchildren, Samantha Tran and her husband Michael Minneman of Framingham, Celine and her husband Spencer Leal of Shrewsbury, Annette Tran of Leicester, Jubi Nguyen of Worcester, Justin Nguyen of Worcester, and Meagan Nguyen of East Providence; a great-grandson, Jack Leal; many nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Muoi T. Huynh of Worcester.  She was born in Hoc Mon, Vietnam, daughter of Xa Truong and Moi Thi Nguyen and has lived in America since 1977.

My was an assembler at a clothing manufacturer in Vietnam.  She was a member of the Pho Hien Temple in Worcester.  She enjoyed reading bibles, cooking, and volunteering at the temple.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.  There will be additional prayers on Thursday, October 16 from 9:00 -10:00 am, followed by cremation at Rural Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pho Hien Buddhist Meditation Temple, 96 Dewey St, Worcester, MA 01610.
