WEST BROOKFIELD - Mary E. (Snow) Ingalls, 94, formerly of Spencer, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, West Brookfield. Wife of the late Elwin L. Ingalls who died in 1989, she leaves three sons, David L. Ingalls of Charlton, James W. Ingalls and his wife Deborah of Fiskdale, and Robert D. Ingalls and his wife Donna of Colfax, WA. Her youngest son Peter J. Ingalls passed away in 2015. Mary also leaves behind eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Born in 1925 in East Longmeadow, she was one of nine children of Darrell E. Snow and Lilian G. (Russell) Snow.
Mary worked for the First Congregational Church in Spencer for over 50 years, the majority of which she managed and worked daily at the economy shop until she was 92. She belonged to many groups and organizations throughout the years including Rebecca's Club, Fort Nightly, Spencer Garden Club, Women's Fellowship, Monday Club and Whist Party. She taught Sunday School, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, catered events through the church, led the Pilgrim Fellowship and was the supper advisor at church functions.
A service will be held at the First Congregational Church at a later date. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
