Margaret "Peggy" (Peltier) Foley

BETHLEHEM, PA – Margaret “Peggy” (Peltier) Foley, 88, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Worcester, MA, died Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.

Her husband, John Foley, died in 1967.  She leaves two sons, John Foley and his wife Linda of Gilbertsville, PA, and Gary Wood of Vermont; a daughter, Kathy Foley of Grafton, MA; a brother, Thomas Peltier of Boston, MA; grandchildren Matthew Foley of PA, Jessica Foley of MD, Christine Sliwoski of CT, and Ryan Plona of Grafton, MA; great-grandchildren Norah and Lilah Foley, and Emma and Haley Sliwoski, and Hope Gaugler; nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her son Barry Wood of Vermont, a sister, Susan McGrath of Worcester, MA and three brothers, John Peltier of Spencer, MA, Donald Peltier of Leicester, MA, and Richard Peltier of Worcester.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of Raymond and Alice (Hartley) Peltier.  She graduated from the former David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester.

Peggy was a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Francis Home in Worcester.  She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was an avid reader and loved her Boston Red Sox.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, followed by a prayer service and procession to St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester for burial.
