AUBURN – Malcolm H. Young Jr, 89, of Auburn, died Friday, February 4, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family.


His wife of 28 years, Theresa L. (Gonyea) Pinard Young, died in 1992.  He leaves a son, Richard Pinard of Auburn, a daughter, Maria Cocker of Auburn, two brothers, Jeffrey Young and his wife Flo of New Hampshire and Frederick Young and his wife Carol of MA; a sister Doris Plummer and her husband Art of Maine; two grandchildren Jacqui Nicolopoulos and her husband Nicholas of Auburn and Jason Richardson and his wife Hannah of Ware; 5 great-grandchildren, Vera, Winston, Nicholas, Evelyn and Brigham; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Latendress.  He was born in Woburn, son of Malcolm H. Young Sr and Abbie (Jeffery) Young. 


Malcolm was a machinist at Christie & Thompson in Worcester.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was one of the founders of the Worcester County Model A Club and a member of Vermont Automobile Enthusiasts. He thoroughly enjoyed everything related to Model A’s.


A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11:30am at Hillside Cemetery 65 Central Street Auburn, MA . Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.  In lieu of flowers please donate a prayer in his memory.
