WORCESTER – Luz Rivera Mendoza, 77, of Worcester, died Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at UMass Memorial – University Campus surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves three sons, Miguel Pesante, Raul Suárez and Armando Suárez, all of New Jersey; seven daughters, Iraida, Anabel and Evelyn Pesante, all of New Jersey, Maria Soto and Flor Suárez of Worcester, Carmen Perez of New Jersey, and Matra Olan of Puerto Rico; two brothers and one sister in Puerto Rico, and another sister in California; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Olan Antonio. She was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, daughter of Felipe Rivera and Adela Mendoza.

Luz enjoyed having her hair and nails done. She enjoyed her plants and loved life. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Luz was a genuinely nice person.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
