WORCESTER – Lon Cao Tran, 87, of Worcester, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Lon was born in Saigon, Vietnam. He was a farmer at his family farm in Vietnam. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Phuong Hoang; two daughters, Dalena Tran and her husband Kiet, and Yen Tran, both of Worcester; five grandchildren, David, Dollovan, Dennis, Vivian and Nancy Tran; and two great-grandchildren, Jane and Eva Vo, all of Worcester.  He also leaves many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives in Vietnam.   He was a caring, dedicated person and always cared for others.  He valued family, hard work and giving back to others. He was a very warm, kindhearted and loving person and family man.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 9:00 am - noon at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, followed by cremation at Rural Crematory.
