WORCESTER – Lianxiang Huang, 89, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, after an illness.


Her husband of 47 years, Minzhi Shou, predeceased her in 2009. She leaves her daughter, Jane Shou of Northborough, and her grandchildren, Bufan Shou, Albert Li, and Bryant Li, all of whom loved and adored her. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Xuyong Shou, as well as a brother and a sister.


Lianxiang was born in Ningbo, China, daughter of Guangsuo Huang and Fenqing Li. She graduated from Hangzhou University and worked for many years as a high school teacher in China. She came to the United States in 2009.


Lianxiang had a sweet and gentle personality and was well liked by everyone who knew her. She was devoted to her family and was deeply cherished in return. She enjoyed knitting and solving Sudoku puzzles, and she brought warmth, kindness, and quiet strength to all who shared her life.


Funeral services will be private and are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
