Laura Y. (Racicot) Cardin, 88, formerly of 1060 Main St., died yesterday in City Hospital.
Her husband, Homer H. Cardin, died in 1956. She leaves two daughters, Irene E. Coderre and Dorothy M. White, both of Worcester; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Born in Spencer, she was a daughter of Louis and Amelia (Giard) Racicot, and had lived in Worcester 70 years.
With her husband, Mrs. Cardin owned and operated the former Homer's Lunch on Front Street for 25 years. She retired 20 years ago. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St. Burial will be in Holy Rosary-St. Mary's Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours at the funeral home are private. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to the Memorial Fund of Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St., Worcester, 01603.
