WORCESTER – Kevin Steven Maloney, father, grandfather and veteran passed away on October 16, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after fighting courageously with a lengthy illness. He had family by his side. Kevin was born in Webster, Massachusetts on January 28,1938 and was adopted and raised by Charles and Nora Maloney. He was a devoted brother to Patricia (Maloney) Blinn and Peter Hanson and maintained a strong connection with his mother and siblings until their passing.
Kevin is survived by his son, Daniel Maloney, his wife Paula and their two children – Nicholas and Kevin; his daughter Kathryn Maloney; and his daughter Karen Daniels, her husband Jeff and their son, William.
He was a dedicated student at Classical High School and was accepted into Holy Cross College in September 1956 before joining the Army later that year. He worked as a communications analyst in Germany before settling in Maryland with his family, where he continued his career as a data specialist.
Kevin spent most of his retirement years at the Colony Retirement Home where he was an avid reader and movie buff. He enjoyed nightly card games with friends in the Colony dining room, breakfasts at the local Worcester diners, and Sunday Mass celebrations where he assisted with Communion. Kevin was a kind, gentle soul with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family.
