WORCESTER – Joseph M. Collenarro, 68, of Worcester, died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness, surrounded by his family.
He leaves two daughters, Kami Pawelek and Joey Lynn Kalvinek, both of Worcester; three grandchildren, Daniela Pawelek, Jaryen Heredia, and Franco Girardi; three sisters, Linda Kalvinek of Oxford, Irene Kalvinek of Rutland, and Charlene Coyle of Douglas; a brother, Michael M. Kalvinek of Millbury; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Paula Sexton. He was born in Worcester, son of the late George J. Kalvinek and Lorraine (Bruneau) Gingras. He lived in Middletown, Maryland for many years.
Joseph was a self-employed mason. He enjoyed boating and most of his life owned a boat of his own, canoeing, fishing, fine art, antiquing, dancing, music, and long rides along the countryside. He loved spending time with his family and loved the water. He was once a lobster fisherman. He loved to eat seafood and Italian!
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Research, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 (cancer.org).
