John J. Polli, 93, of 29 Edgewater Road in Hull, formerly of Worcester, died Sunday in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.


His wife Jane E. (Donnelly) Polli died in 1948.  He leaves his daughter, Ann L. Lewis of Holden; a sister, Alice Albano of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren, John E. Lewis of Hull, James R. Lewis of Miami and Jane E. Lewis of Holden; and two great-grandchildren.  Born in Switzerland, he was the son of Amadeo and Madeline (Raggazoni) Polli. He moved to Hull in 1950 and previously lived in Worcester for many years.


Mr. Polli owned and operated the former Polli Trucking Co. in Worcester for 20 years. He was a hotel owner and manager of the Central House in Hull for 25 years, retiring in 1965.


The funeral will be tomorrow from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. George Church, 38 Brattle St.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.  Memorial donations may be made to the Hull Scholarship Fund, 81 Central Ave., Hull, Mass, 02045.
