John Marino Obituary

MILLBURY – John J. Marino, 73, of Millbury, died Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. 

He leaves behind a daughter, Kim Legares of Southbridge; five grandchildren, Kayla, Gianna, Rachael, Sara and Angelo, and one great-grandchild, Bentley.  He also leaves three sisters, Kathy Fay of Athol, Debra Nichols and Patricia Kapulka, both of Cherry Valley; his girlfriend Judy Istzan of Hubbardston; several nieces and nephews, especially Lisa Langmaid, Bill Kapulka, Kelly Moisan and John Nichols; two dear friends, Lisa and Ray Lebel of Millbury.  He was predeceased by his mother Muriel O’Donnell, his stepfather John O’Donnell, his brother William H. Clark, and his sister Kay Kaczmarczyk.  He was born in Gardner, son of the late John J. and Muriel (Munsell) Marino. 

John was a truck driver for Dan Amorello Services.   He was a U.S. Marine veteran.  He loved Elvis, flea marketing, collecting military items and fishing.  He will be sadly missed by all family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 -4:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.  Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project , P.O. BOX 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 (support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
