WORCESTER – James Pickens, 64, of Worcester, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at UMass Memorial – University Campus after an illness.
He leaves his longtime companion Marilyn Cotton and is survived by seven sisters: Donna Williams, Norma Brown, Sandra, Tina, Gina, Terrie and Anita Pickens; three brothers: William, Jerry & Mark Pickens, all of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings: Everett, Robert M., John and Brenda. He was born in Vienna, Illinois, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Worlds) Pickens.
James worked as a handyman. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family and will be missed by all, especially his favorite niece Annalayah.
Funeral services are private and under the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
