WORCESTER - A truly beautiful soul, Jacqueline A. Russo, 40, of Worcester, passed away October 4th, 2023 in Saint Vincent Hospital, after a 16 day battle with sepsis.
She leaves her father, William Russo, with whom she lived. Jackie’s mother Amy passed away in 2020. She leaves her brother, Eric Russo and his fiancée Elizabeth Pearson, her nephew Anthony Russo, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Born in Worcester, she graduated from Doherty high school and Clark University with honors. She attended Salter College and graduated at the top of her class in culinary arts.
Jackie loved reading, crafts, vacations in Provincetown, and hiking with Old Pa. She loved Halloween and horror movies, the Botanical Gardens, the Red Sox, was a dedicated Swiftie, gave to animal causes, loved dining at Dino’s and driving her 2005 VW beetle convertible with the top down wearing sunglasses. She was a quiet, loving, caring person who never refused to help a family member or friend. You could not leave the house without a smile and a hug from Jackie.
In the last few years, she faced life challenges with courage few of us can imagine. She would not want us to mourn, but to celebrate her life. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die”.
Services are being held privately and are being handled by Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Please feel free to give to your favorite charity in Jackie’s name.
