WORCESTER - J. Norman Grenier, 65, of 686 Salisbury St. died Sunday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, after he was stricken at home.

He leaves his wife of 41 years, Christine L. (Bialobrzeski) Grenier; a son, John N. Grenier of Eagan, Minn.; five daughters, Denise Grenier Kreisky of Putney, England, Linda C. Grenier of West Newton, Suzanne M. Grenier of Charlestown, and Janet E. Grenier Bilzerian and Julie E. Grenier, both of Worcester; a brother, Paul Grenier of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Jeannette Bonneau and Rita LaJoie, both of Worcester; seven grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Paul and Emelda (Nadeau) Grenier, and lived here all his life.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving with the First Cavalry Division in Japan. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.

Mr. Grenier attended Assumption Preparatory School. He graduated from North High School in 1945, was a graduate of Worcester Junior College, and had taken real estate courses at Assumption College. He was an honorary alumnus of Assumption College.

Mr. Grenier was a property owner and real estate broker in Worcester for many years.

He was a former president of the Harmony Club of Worcester and a member of the Worcester Country Club and the Music Guild. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

The funeral will be Thursday from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 23 Midstate Drive, Auburn, 01501.
