Hector Quiles

WORCESTER – Hector “Momo” Quiles, 72, of Worcester, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at UMass Memorial – University Campus.

He leaves three daughters, Maria Quiles Ruiz, Lisamarie Quiles Carrasquillo, and Emily Quiles Semiday, all of Worcester; two sons, John Felder of Douglas and Stevenson Newkirk of Worcester; a brother, Edwin Quiles of New York; five sisters, Magdalena Quiles of Southbridge, Juanna Albino of Worcester, Carmen Quiles of Worcester, Amelia Quiles of Puerto Rico and Ana Quiles of Puerto Rico; 35 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his partner of 14 years, Milagros Acevedo of Worcester, and his step- children, Candido Ecasela, Milagros Carela, Elliot Acevedo, Evelio Acevedo, Aracelis Carela, Claudio Carela, all of Worcester, and Candida Carela of Puerto Rico.  He was predeceased by his wife Sheila Santiago Quiles in 2006, his son Christopher F. Quiles in 2017, three sisters, Elena Quiles, Henna Quiles and Gloria Quiles Lopez, and his stepson Juan Pablo.  He was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, son of Flor Quiles and Maria Morales.

Hector was an auto body repairman for Beacon Auto in Worcester for 32 years.  He was a genuine guy, a hard worker and loved by many people.
