OXFORD – Harry W. Holt, 63, of Oxford, died Friday, May 15, 2026 at Webster Manor Rehab & Health Care Center, after a short illness.

He leaves his best friend of over 30 years, Loni Choquette, and his life-long friend Tunde Baker, both of Massachusetts; a sister, Paulette Holt Edwards of North Carolina, and two nephews.  He was born in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina, son of Madeline Holt Matier.  

Harry was like an uncle to Loni’s children, her son Corey, who passed away several years ago, and her son Chayse.  He loved playing Bingo, hanging out in his courtyard, participating with the kids playing sports and watching them play football.  He also enjoyed fishing and watching sports.  Harry loved playing basketball and loved the Boston Celtics.  He is known as one of the most patient, loving, trusting, and selfless people.  He would help everybody and had a good outlook on life.  He will be truly missed by those who knew him.
