WORCESTER – Hai Phi Truong, 72, of Worcester, died Saturday, July 12, 2025 after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his wife of 24 years, Thanh (Nguyen) Truong, a daughter, Melissa Thuy Truong of Worcester, his mother Le Thi Kim Hung and a brother, Hung Phi Truong of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  He was born in Quy Nhon, Vietnam, son of Ham Truong and Le Thi Kim Hung. He received an associate’s degree at Tây Ninh Việt Nam.  He has lived in Worcester since 2000.

Hai was a machine engineer at Metso Automation USA, Inc.  He was a member of the Vietnamese Christian Church of Worcester.  He enjoyed gardening/planting, collecting, technology, volunteering, leading worship at church, woodworking, metal working and home improvement.

Hai’s funeral will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, with a prayer service at 8:30 am, viewing and visitation from 9:00 – 10:30 am, and a funeral service at 10:30 am, followed by a procession to Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
