Gerard S. Jette, 69, of 161 West Mountain St. died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife, Rita C. (Derosier) Jette; three sons, Robert G. Jette of Dallas, Texas, Roger P. Jette of Garland, Texas, and Raymond O. Jette of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Anne Marie St. Denis of Milwaukee; a sister, Helen Roy of Worcester; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jette was a bus driver for Worcester Bus Co. 14 years, retiring in 1978.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II.  Mr. Jette was a former member of Holy Name of Jesus parish, Main South American Legion Post and Adelphi Council, Knights of Columbus in Shrewsbury.  He was born in Worcester, the son of Auguste J. and Exilia (Clermont) Jette.

The funeral will be held today from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.  The family requests flowers be omitted.
