Gerard M. Hughes Obituary

WORCESTER – Gerard M. Hughes, 52, of Worcester, died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at home.

He leaves his wife, Ailan (Nguyen) Hughes, a daughter, Theresa Hughes of Worcester; four brothers, Tom, Timmy, Arthur and Bobby Hughes, all of Worcester.  Gerard was born in Worcester, son of the late John F. and Theresa A. (Gaudette) Hughes.

Gerard was a truck driver.  He enjoyed listening to Tom Petty and Bob Dylan.  If there was a Patriots or a Bruins game on, he would never miss it. His favorite thing to do was tell dad jokes and laugh hysterically at them before anyone else was able to get it.  His best buddy was a four-legged husky named Taz, they were inseparable!  He was a dreamer, and he had a lot of big dreams, reminding us all that it was okay to have big dreams to strive for.  He loved the holidays and spending it with his family. He will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be private and in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
