Geraldine L. (Leblanc) Hoose Obituary

RUTLAND – Geraldine L. (Leblanc) Hoose, 89, of Rutland, formerly of Millbury and Worcester, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family.


She leaves a daughter, Andrea Gault and her husband Gerald of Rutland, with whom she lived, a son, Michael Hoose of Worcester, a sister, Christine Bahde of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, David Stanley, Dennis Stanley, Ashley Ruiz, and Michael Hoose Jr; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Annette Mitchell, Janice Sokol, and Jeanne Bates; and her longtime companion Robert Roche. 


She was born in Somerville, MA, daughter of Russell and Marion (Campbell) Leblanc.  She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. 


Geraldine was a director of the dislocated workers in Worcester.   She enjoyed Bingo and visiting the Twin River Casino.  She possessed a high IQ.  She was accelerated to higher grades in high school and was known to be the principal’s “pet”, yet she couldn’t boil water.  She was the belle of the ball.  Everyone loved her.


Funeral services will be private and in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
