AUBURN – Frederic L. “Fritz” Dupré, 87, of Auburn, died Thursday, January 25, 2024 after a brief illness.
His wife of 55 years, Linda A. (Boileau) Dupré, died in 2019. He leaves a son, Marc Dupré and his wife Jennifer of Wellesley, a daughter, Danielle Gerber and her husband Jeffrey of Norwood; two sisters, Marcelle Miller of Webster, NY, and Paula M. Dupré of Wayland; two grandchildren, Madeleine and Isabelle Dupré of Wellesley; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Frederic E. and Claudia M. (Dube) Dupré. He graduated from the former Assumption Prep, Assumption College and University of Michigan Law School.
Fritz was an attorney at State Mutual Life Assurance (now Hanover) for many years, then held a private practice until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves, and a long-time member and past president of the Harmony Club of Worcester. He enjoyed football, jazz music, road trips, cartography and spending time with his family.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central St, Auburn. A calling hour will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 am before the Mass. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
