Frank V. Falcone

RUTLAND, MA – Frank V. Falcone, Jr., husband of the late Barbara (Fleet) Falcone, died peacefully at his daughter's home on Sunday, February 7, 2021.  He was 94.

Born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Boston, he was the son of Frank and Fortuna (Fasano) Falcone.  In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son, Frank Falcone III; a daughter, Marianne Williams; and five brothers.

Frank is survived by his daughters Donna (Tim) Bowles of Preston, CT; Laura (Chas) Fasano of Hardwick, MA; Cheryl (Dan) McCurley of Worcester, MA; Theresa (Ed) Harney of Rutland, MA; and Andrea Evans of Winter Park, FL.

"Papa Frankie" is also survived by seven beloved grandchildren: Damien Keane, Amanda McNeil, Tarren Soukup, Michele Harney-Kohl, Adam Harney, Ansley Evans Rubio and Whit Evans; and eight great-grandchildren in whom he delighted.  He is also survived by a sister, Rose Marie Aloia of Worcester, MA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank lived most of his adult life in Worcester, but in the 1980s became a serious Florida "snow-bird" with his wife.  For the last nine years he loved living at his new condo in Lake Worth and led an active life with many friends.  While he was quite a storyteller, chief among Frank's pastimes was bowling, and boy could he knock 'em down!  His team led to many a league victory, and the women he bowled with identified themselves as "Frankie's Angels."  In 2017 Frank also formed a 90-and-over team for league play in the summer, garnering a lot of publicity in the West Palm Beach area.

Our Dad was truly one of a kind, and we all loved him beyond words. He will be missed immeasurably. 

Due to COVID-19 precautions funeral services will be held privately.  Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
