Florence V. (Vear) Karaku, 80, of 43 Abbott St. died Saturday night in City Hospital.

She leaves her husband, Louis T. Karaku; two daughters, Air Force Lt. Col. Ellen P. Karaku of Waltham, and Nancy L. Sandofsky of Sharon; a brother, James Vear of Uxbridge; two sisters, Eva Cnossen of Waitsfield, Vt., and Ellen Mezynski of Worcester; and two grandsons. Mr. and Mrs. Karaku observed their 47th wedding anniversary last June. She was born in Woonsocket, R.I., daughter of John and Ellen (Atkinson) Vear, and later lived in Millville. She lived here 42 years.

Mrs. Karaku was a member of Park Congregational Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Park Congregational Church, 80 Russell St. The Rev. Martin W. Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
