Exilda M. (Fontaine) Beaudin, 89, of St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St., died there yesterday.
Mrs. Beaudin was a school teacher in Sacred Heart School, Coaticook, Quebec, Canada, many years ago. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, and the Ladies of St. Anne of the church. She was also a member of St. Jean Baptiste Conseil Henriette.
Her husband, Aime Beaudin, died in 1954. She leaves two sons, Urbain N. Beaudin of Worcester and Lorenzo J. "Larry" Beaudin of Worcester and St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Lucienne S. Wasiuk and Dolores H. O'Connor, both of Worcester, and Lucille G. ten Hompel of Longmeadow; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces, including Sister Bernadette Madore, president of Anna Maria College, and Sister Pauline Madore, adviser to international students at Anna Maria College. Born in St. Malo, d'Auckland, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of Arthur and Marie (Boulanger) Fontaine, and lived in Worcester since 1941.
The funeral will be held Saturday from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
